History

Champaign National Bank was founded in 1851 in Urbana, Ohio. It was the first nationally chartered bank in Champaign County. We are proud of our rich heritage as a leading financial institution, serving generation after generation of customers.  

In 2007, The Champaign Bank was acquired by a leading Ohio community Bank, First Citizens Banc Corp.  Today the bank is part of Citizens Bank under the First Citizens Banc Corp. holding company. 

As part of the First Citizens Banc Corp family of banks, Champaign Bank provides a full complement of commercial banking, retail banking, investment and trust services. It also provides services through Citizens Wealth Management, part of Citizens Bank. They are a broker-dealer and registered investment advisory firm that offers investment advice, asset management, and brokerage services.

Champaign Bank operates banking locations in Urbana, West Liberty, Russells Point, Plain City, Dublin, Hilliard, Quincy, and Akron.

Citizens Bank operates banking locations in Sandusky, Shelby, Huron, Castalia, Berlin Heights, New Washington, Tiro, Chatfield, Norwalk, Willard, Greenwich, Plymouth, Crestline, and Shiloh. Citizens bank also has loan production offices in Port Clinton and Marysville.
